The Holocaust continues to be focused on because of “the Jewish domination of the media”, according to filmmaker Oliver Stone.
The director of Platoon, Nixon and Wall Street told an interviewer of his views on America’s “major” Jewish lobby, Hitler’s record and Iran.
He said: “They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington.
“Israel has f—– up United States foreign policy for years”
Mr Stone, known for his left-leaning views and his admiration for Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez – about whom he has just made a documentary – is working on a documentary series about American history. He said he wants Hitler’s atrocities to be viewed in context.
He said: “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30m.”
“Hitler was a Frankenstein but there was also a Dr Frankenstein. German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support.”
Mr Stone, who has made a film about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad , said America’s attitude to Iran was “horrible”.
“Iran isn’t necessarily the good guy. But we don’t know the full story.”
Mr Stone also asked his interviewer, from the Sunday Times, if she could look into the newspapers archives to find information about the “Israelis and the bomb”.
