  1. There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption, into our domain.

  2. Good (Principled and Scrupulous)

Principled is basically LG. Always keeps their word, only lie or break the law as an absolute last resort, never tortures, harms innocent people, or kills deliberately.

Scrupulous is your average comic book good guy. Breaks the law to get baddies that the law isn’t getting, smacks goons around a bit to loosen their lips, but is honorable and trustworthy in general (keeps word to other good characters or at least people they think are), doesn’t harm innocents or kill anyone unless there’s absolutely no other option.

    Selfish (Unprincipled and Anarchist)
Unprincipled characters actually have lots of principles, but anyway. They’re generally good natured and want to do right, but they’ll do their right their way with little consideration for the legalities. This is the first alignment that’s willing to use money/gear taken from villains. They’ll keep a promise but otherwise lie and cheat as they see a need.

Anarchist characters are out for number one first and foremost. They won’t kill or torture for fun (probably), but won’t hesitate to if it seems expedient.
    Evil(Miscreant, Aberrant, Diabolic)

Evil people aren’t all cackling scenery chewers or aspiring dark lords. Some of them seem like quite pleasant people on the surface, and many have no particular ambition beyond making the lives of those around them a misery.
Miscreant characters are your basic baddies. They’ll lie, cheat, hurt people sometimes just cos they’re in a bad mood, and generally do crimes and be mean.

The Aberrant alignment has a code of honour, but not the same kind as good characters. They’ll keep their word, be true to their friends, and never kill an innocent or for pleasure. Anything short of that is 9n the table, and killing people because they’re doing bad is totally fine. This is Punisher’s alignment.
